Aussie NBA Rings

Good article here in Bleacher Report about the global "Rings Race".

I have often wondered about this, and this shows that Australia compares very favourably to most other countries as far as the "Ringz race" goes (unsurprising that Canada leads the pack).

The way the stats have been run means that Gaze's ring for the Spurs doesn't count, but of course with Delly and Bogut in the Finals the number of Aussie rings can only increase this year.

Also, the stats about the Spurs are just nuts.

4 Aussies have won a total of 6 NBA championship rings

Longley 1996,97,98 w Bulls

Gaze 1999 w Spurs

Mills 2014 w Spurs

Baynes 2014 w Spurs

Soon to be 5 Aussies to have won 7 rings

Your right, I missed those 6 games he played when he was 33.

I just checked the stats, he shot 27% from the field and 28% from 3 in the nba. That isn't awesome but still kind of awesome.

lol having a really good laugh at the heal comments

the only time heal was on a winning team was the one year under goorjian which he hated so much that he bolted immediately as the training regime was 'too hard'

guy is not a winner

also in business bankrupted

and still has an attitude

Heal was cut by the Spurs early in the 2003-04 season, the Spurs didn't win the championship that year anyway.

Heal didn't win a ring.

Andrew gaze didn't earn his, didn't even make the playoff roster yet still got one.
