The three-time NBA All Star has created a 15-win limit at the Orange County Fair's basketball shooting gallery.
Sometimes it pays to have an NBA shooting star as your dad ... even if you probably don’t even realise he earnt $22.3 million for the 2013-14 season despite not playing in a single game, having been cut by the Orlando Magic.
Arenas, 33, averaged 20.7 points per game across his 583-game NBA career, shooting 42.1 per cent from the floor and 35.1 per cent on three-pointers.
Even the slightly bent ring at the county fair didn’t faze him.
The former college star at Arizona told his Instagram followers he had been banned by the Fair for "being too good" but organisers said he only was banned for the rest of the day because he had reached the win limit.
He was welcome to come back.
The Adelaide 36ers still are looking for a second import for the forthcoming NBL season.
Maybe it’s time to put a call in to Arenas.
If he can win prizes on that metal hoop at the Royal Show — strategically placed close enough to the tent ceiling to prevent a decent shot trajectory — then he is just the man the 36ers need.
