She plays for Perth.. anyone with half decent skills in that team would be impressive. Perth Lynx are terrible and to get 31 against the AIS isn't that great with the young, under equipped team they have!

Well Jackson got 39 against the AIS only 8 points more and got player of the week for it so I still think its a good effort

Who cares, Jackson gets 39 points and gets player of the week, yet it means nothing for smith to get 31. Wheres the continuity there

Perth/Canberra V AIS very similar scores ie Perth kicked AIS butt...

and to denigrate a 31 haul IS bitchy..

Of more interest is how often in recent years has Perth touched up the AIS by that much?

Looks to be a very very long season for the girls.

Fox/Camino injuries has hurt heaps.

Im not sure but I dont think that they have won by that much in a long while.
What happened to Fox? I cant believe that #53755 said that. 31 points with no matter who is a dam fine effort. Sounds like sour grapes to me !!!!!

Smith is a better proposition than Francis at the moment and Bishop works hard, don't put to much pressure on a someone to be the cure all...

The AIS this season has noone driving the team injuries, Camino/Fox etc has hurt them bigtime.

They lack the type of player to get others into the game...having great shooters, good posts etc does jack shite if you don't give them the ball at the right time.

Scaglia did a knee last weekend and has been below par since the injury prior to the World Champs...

The AIS has always been competitive even in losing seasons, at the moment they are far from it. That is a real issue when looking to the future...yes they are there to learn but learn what? how to handle getting your arse kicked week after week. That becomes a mind set after a while...

True poor buggers. How bad was Scaglias knee?

WNBL game report:
"The Institute's run of injury dramas continued after AIS guard Lisa Scaglia badly tweaked her right knee after only a minute of play in the second half. Later investigations indicated a grade 2 tear on her medial ligament and the very real possibility that her season may end in week two!"

What knee was the original knee injury?

Not sure but I think it was a medial strain as well
