Adelaide 36ers DP's... who are they?

Does anyone know who the final Adelaide 36ers DP's will be?

They've only got one DP - Michael Harris.

Few other train ons but one declared DP.

Bijan's father was killed a few weeks ago in a bicycle accident back in Houston so I doubt he will be back.

Mikey Harris is an extremely talented scorer, but is he going to have that same kind of green light on offense at the next level anywhere?

Super shooter that can get a buck on ANYONE but too many coaches are obsessed with systems and dont seem to wanna let anyone flourish as an isolation player.

To be fair, he's in a bit of an odd spot. He can be a great scorer in PL because he's slightly more athletic, bigger and skilled than most guards. At the NBL level though he doesn't project to be that kind of player because everyone else is bigger and stronger than he is currently.

I could see him being a Darren NG type shooter for a few years.

I thought Harris was too, but isn't there usually carry 3-4 DP spots.

On Harris, he would be getting pretty frustrated with Giddey & Mudronja there!

Is Adam Doyle too old for a DP spot?

Hoppo, maybe? - What a joke, probably sweep the floors on game day - Lol.

Owen Hulland, why is he back from college? - Another drop out?

Is Marshall, Davies or DeSantis out there, two great young locals?

Or is there another Queensland in the DP squad, as Joey Wright always favoured?

To be honest, all the 36er DP spots should be restricted to SA lads.

Hoppo works relentlessly, so from that perspective, he could definitely get amongst it, but in terms of on court play, im not so sure what he offers. Seems to have not figured out what hes good at or what position he plays. All the best to him though, as hes a really nice guy.

DeSantis should be. This guy is a monster on court, who works like a dog and is a sheer monster in the lab on game day. This is well before the 29 a night or whatever he is posting ATM. Guys been on the radar but not respected as much as some others despite giving literally EVERYBODY the work over the years. Mt. Gambier knew what they were getting when they chased him and I'm glad he left Sturt, so he could showcase what he has got. Anyways, as to him being a DP, dont think he is and I dont know why he isnt on the roster. May be something to look into.

If Nelson Larkins having a rich dad can get a spot, than Nik DeSantis surely can get a spot for the rich array of moves and talent he has.

The question is who in Adelaide should be looked at as a DP for the 36ers. There are plenty of youngsters (let's say 25 and under) that would love the opportunity to be developed in this environment. So let's name some players that should be recognised in different positions. Would love to see people's opinions on this as a respectful open discussion.

It's pretty standard for guys to be invited out just because they are available, not because they are seriously being looked at.

Sixers need to think long term and not let another Newley or Ingles type situation develop with Marshall. Especially as there is another one in the wings not far behind.

Sapwell just trading on his dad's name again. Still can't work out how the older one doesn't play at a div2 college, spits the dummy and quits and suddenly gets a DP with cairns.

DP = get paid sfa, can't work, become training fodder for a few years as they need the numbers, all whilst being sold a pipe dream that 99% of the time will never eventuate.

As above, thats why its only the rich boys from the private schools that end up in the DP slots.

Is Alex Mudronja on the full time roster nowadays? if yes, good. As for Doyle, isnt he like, 27-28 years old.

He might be one of the most unguardable guys at PL level, but NBL, im not so sure.

Some previous DP couldn't even get minutes in premier league.

Yes, the 3 year contract he signed with the Sixers was first year as a DP then onto the full roster after that.

He's likely too old anyway I think the age limit is 24 or something but as he spent a few years on the full time roster I doubt he would be allowed to go back and be a DP anyway.

Doyle isn't good enough for the NBL.
Agree with Jick where possible have locals as DPs .
Perth have two for example in Travers and Ferguson.

Hey #827. Yeah, Mudronja on full roster now as mentioned by #847. Coach Wright and Jantke made sure of that...lol

Sounds like Mudronja is another fine example of worming (paying) his way through contacts in the system and sucking some serious arse!

Another love child of Jantke.

Would be curious to see statistics of DP players in last 15years or so and how their careers went from there.
