Boti seems to have been busting to say something and seems pretty glad that he is now able to. A lot of pent up anger there.

I find it underwhelming. If he knew things were going pear-shaped, why wasn't he asking the tough questions well before now instead of giving his (overly simplistic IMO) solutions after the event? Why is Greg Kelton breaking this story and not him?

Things have been beyond pear-shaped for a long time

But some people have routinely threatened him and the newspaper with legal action and made complaints to his superiors after anything that could be considered negative press. Sometimes they seem to be of the belief that his job is to be an unquestioning positive mouthpiece. He rightly questions the "Fellas" name change and they get pissed off, for example.

With regard to "overly simplistic solutions", it'd be worth remembering that he has limited space to work within - each one line solution he mentions could be ranted on in detail for pages if he had the opportunity.

This is one area where we, as posters on a forum, are kind of lucky.
We can pretty much say what we want and can get away with it. We have no one to answer to, apart from Isaac.
No one pays for our opinions, but they get them whether they like them or not.

Boti, on the other hand, is paid for his opinion by the powers that be at the Morning Murdoch and they then have the power of veto on anything he says.

I also would have thought that the quote was run past their solicitors to be OK, as they have been in the past. It was the best thing he has ever said.
