Newley in Orlando Pre-Draft Camp

ESPN have a story, quoted in RealGM revealing the Rosters for the Orlando PreDraft Camp.

The majority of players invited (about 60 in total) are from the College system with only Newley & a Russian (Viktor Keyru) being from O/Seas.

He is in an interesting team, based on Positions in the ESPN article. There are 11 players in his team:

3 - PG's
3 - SG's (Including Newley)
0 - SF's (???)
3 - PF's
2 - C's

I have seen his name mentioned in other articles as a "swingman" but thought he might be a bit small to guard some of the SF's in the NBA, such as Antoine Walker, Tayshaun Prince etc.

Whilst not a link to actual rosters, here is a link to the Camp and list the players invited, not invited and 'only invited for physical testing'.

An excerpt from Chad Ford's Orlando Draft Camp report on ESPN.com

Ditto for Australia's Brad Newley. He ended the game with three points and two assists, but he was the most active player on the floor for his team. He was able to drive by his defenders, Coby Karl and Morris Almond, at will and then create for his teammates when the defense collapsed. His shot wasn't falling today, but he was one of the most interesting players on the floor.

This from Day 2 of camp (previous post was from day 1)

Australia's Brad Newley continues to impress. His stats, eight points and three assists, don't jump out at you, but Newley plays a cool game. He's constantly looking for his teammates, moving without the ball and taking his defenders off the dribble. He's had his shot blocked a few times taking it to the rim, but he'll adjust as he gets used to the superior athleticism here in the States.
