i here on the grape vine Derek Rucker could be signed by the 36ers. to replace Maher who is out (calf) for tonights game as well as wheeler (hamstring) for the match against the dragons.
they are slim as well having lost Fuller at Centre and we all no that Jacobs Bricks built the Holmes Dome.

Look you angry sixers fans, for starters i dont read the paper. i got a sms from a mate saying Rucker heading to Adelaide?? it was a question not a statement. isaac you should get a medal for posting that info so quick mate your my hero.

According to CJ Brunton in his interview, Rucker was released from Brisbane because he is more of a shooting guard than a point guard. It was nothing to do with his age apparently.
This is the same reason why we will not sign him. 36ers are up to their armpits in shooting guards [part of the chemistry problem] and need talent in the point guard dept.

I too when copes was signed thought Rucker would have been a better option. With Rucker officailly retiring now, I guess we will never know.
After a slow start, Copes has provided a good presence I feel. He is certianly getting the crowd into the game which will hopefully mean more bums on seats.
