Can anyone please give me a recap on Talking Hoops last night. I missed it.

Brett Maher said he had lunch yesterday with Paul Rogers, the coaching staff and some board members.

He said the 36ers were still in negotiations with Rogers and it was hoped something would work out.

Maher explained that Rogers is the type of player that like him could
easily get a 3 month deal in Europe in the off-season like him to supplement his wage and that he would still be on a pretty good wage.

Maher acknowledged there were cap restraints but that hopefully
something would be worked out.

Goorjian was on the show and talked up Joe Ingles as a 'Toni Kukoc like player' and a player of the future.

He noted that Oscar Forman had been added to the Boomers squad.

Jacob Holmes had evidently done well at the Boomers camp as did Wade Heliwell who has improved whilst in Europe.

Joe Ingles was on the show and said his goals were to finish his
remaining year at the AIS and then play NBL. He said the 36ers have
spoken to him and there is an offer on the table for next season. He
said they were keen to have him this season also but he wanted the extra year to develop his game at the AIS.

Great work by Paul Bell in delivering what is a top basketball show week in and week out.

Thanks Stephon. Did Anstey and Lowery have anything interesting to say for themselves?

Just wondering if any callers asked Anstey about the Bogut thing?

Damon Lowery was a bit of a laugh, he joked about the Darnell foul and says he still has trouble lifting his arm over his shoulder from the ferocity of the flagrant!!

Lowery was hilarious - lot of banter about the darnell foul froma couple of years ago and also about ninnis.

Anstey was quite frank - said that right now there were other players better than bogut but that in time he should be the best.

agree, anstey should forget it and stop harping on in. It's funny that the player that should off been offended the most by these comments is the same player that hasn't said boo throughout the whole drama that both anstey and longley want to draw out.

I guess any media exposure is good exposure when you have been off the map for a while. Reminds people that you are still around.
