Abercrombie extends to 2022

Per NZ Breakers Twitter. This will take him through to age 35 iirc

That's what 1 dunk against an NBA team can do for NBL players

I have been cynical of other moves by the club including the gm appointment.

From what I have seen of Shamir, I rate him as a coach.

This is a pretty good endorsement. Also suggests Abercrombie didnt rate braswell and is prepared to say this publically.

Good on the breakers because despite a negative backdrp the team that has been compiled is positive.

Abercrombie is to NZ as what Wagstaff is to Perth. Clear that both sides see each other's value, and I presume the 2022 part will take him to retirement. I thought Abercrombie was going to lose minutes from being on the bench, but Shamir wants to play him a ton.

Shamir liked the Henry-Webster-Hopson-Abercrombie-Loe quintet and I wonder if this will come out in the early games.

Good on him, an absolute legend at the Breakers and this should ensure he gets his jersey up in the rafters too.

Hard to imagine him playing anywhere else in the NBL and deserves everything that he gets.
