Teams outside NBL include in NBL Cup

As captioned for discussion. Will that be viable if NBL Cup allows teams from NZ NBL and NBL1?
Will the top teams from NBL1 and NZ NBL be competitive with NBL teams?

Looking at current NZ NBL teams like Wellington Saints and Bay Hawks (with two imports and couple of ANBL experience players) team rosters, they seem have good enough strength to match with teams in the lower half of the current NBL ladder.

They included a NBL1 allstar team the other season and they got pumped. Waste of time.

Might create some interest but the NBL1 would be better trying to have a national play off tourney with imports/nbl roster guys playing in that tourney

NBL Cup should become NBL1 cup and never return to the NBL again.

Open the street thinking that they would be teams from Asia possibly. The NBL one teams would not be competitive at all. The NZ NBL teams would be a little better but not much. You would need good Asian teams for them to be remotely competitive and even then I think they would get thumped by the top 4 to 6 sites in the NBL.

Some CBA teams came out a few years back without imports and they were embarrassed

Be like classics allowing div 4 teams in. Bench players star in NBL1, even DP. Damn, South are relying on Hulland and Mudronja coming in to lead them to title.
