Booking General Admission Membership tickets - HEADACHE!
So I pre-empted a headache today with booking my seats, but what I was met with was more arduous and frustrating than I could have ever anticipated.
It took me well over an hour to select every seat and every game individually while running against Ticketek's stupid running clock, being logged out randomly, having to verify my bank details and my email on every game, and then having to pay some stupid 5 dollar "handling fee" on tickets I already paid for.
Between all the verifications and the selecting seats individually despite having a group of barcodes it just felt like it wasn't even worth the effort.
And then communicating with the 36ers during was a bit of a nightmare, couldn't confirm when tickets would go online and didn't understand when I tried to explain how tedious the whole process is.
Dear ticketek -
If someone has bought multiple memberships they PROBABLY WANT TO BE SEATED TOGEHTER - maybe assume that unless indicated otherwise
If you're already logged into the app and youre already making purchases YOU SHOULD NOT NEED TO VERIFY YOUR IDENTITY AGAIN
If youre purchasing multiple tickets from a membership that entitles you to 16 games, MAYBE DROP YOUR STUPID 10 MINUTE RUNNING CLOCK
And No one wants to have to verify their bank for some tickets. It means leacing the app, entering into another app, and risking losing the tickets to that stupid running clock.
In the end, I did the best I could and went for the sections as close to the sidelines as these tickets allow. But fuck me, what an ordeal for seats I've already paid for.
