Pioneers lose to Knox, 79-86

pioneers were terrible last night. They lost 86-79 to a Knox team that are obviously not close to full strength. To score 79 the offence is not working. Blankson needs to learn how to set a screen and stop crying about his stats. He leads the team in shot attempts, but this is not enough. Get rid of him, he is ruining the team.
Shepperd had his best game when at the 2 spot next to Wilson. But gave up 27 to Siegle.
Berkefeld didnt get a run, which poses the question, why is he there? No confidence from Sedlock in the local who has proved it in pre-season that he belongs. GIVE HIM A CHANCE! Sedlock you are not going to win with this group and this style of play, make some changes before the Icehouse is empty of seats and the Pioneers are no more. Please!

I couldnt get to the game last night so thanks for the scores south east. Do you know where i could see the box sxores?

At least it seems he has made one change in moving shep from the 1 to the 2 hopefully some more changes are just around the corner!

Wilson and Shep at 1, 2 showed that this should have been the roles from game one. Wilson's persistent D (with no fouls) suggests that maybe coming back down court him and Shep should have maybe swapped men and Wilson took Siegele for D. Pretty confident with Wilson's D ability he could have kept him to half that amount and not given away any cheap fouls, cause Glen can shoot the ball.
It still comes back to coaching decisions - understand your players and know what they are best at and exploit it for the team!!

Agree, Berky is one of the few guys in the local comp that can make the transition to the next level. He has a way to go but anchored to the bench won't let him improve. IMO give SHep a 35 minute game and give the rest to Berky, to give him the experience and then next season with some more training he should be able to step up for more minutes.
The shooting % made of the Pioneers is terrible overall and we need double figures minimum from Wilson -he is an excellent contributor as PG and D is strong but now for some shoots Dan to round your game out. Sedlock seems to be out of sync with ball through hoop - but it seems that they may have sorted out the smalls but the big guys seem to be taking attempts away from better positioned players? IMO the whole Pioneers team would do well to spend a couple of hours each day shooting around and then a few more hours running through their sets.
