Newley is playing right now and is having a good one and is currently perfect from the field with 4/4 shooting...check it out live.

Newley only played around 15min and had 11 points on 4/7 shooting.

Ingles playing right now...0/7 shooting but has around 7 rebounds and a couple of assists. He is getting plenty of minutes to show what he can do so it looks like the Warriors are still showing some interest.

Ingles didnt score and had a stinker. Interesting to see his teammate Morrow score 47 to beat Randolph's 44 the other day. Looks like the Mavs have seen enough of Jawai, he is still yet to enter the game.

Is it just me or does it seem all the Aussie NBA prospects are doing it tough at the moment?

Millhouse,
Ingles did ok, if you know shit about Anything. Scoring is one part and there are other attributes that he brings to teams. Your a dickhead so piss off and leave the kid alone.

The guy is playing 25 minutes a game, shooting 20% from the field and averaging 3.2 points per game...

Future NBA player??? Not likely.

Ingles could quite possibly have killed any future chance of an NBA call up with his terrible display in the Summer league and bad game again in the Euroleague game.

You guys are going by boxscores only. Hoop Addict, who was at a few games, said that Ingles was actually doing quite well and thought that he'd have been in the top 20% or so players that he saw.

36ers fan this is a FORUM you tool, where people voice there opinions. If you don't like it, close your eyes tough guy.

End of the day Issac the Warriors have a ton of athletic small forwards and by not scoring in a Summer league competition you are never going anywhere.

Playing team ball in this competiton does bugger all but pad the scorer first mentality.

Throwing your self around going for lose balls and setting screens or putting up 47 points?

I understand there is a time and a place for the team ball, such as when you make an NBA roster...Summer league isn't it.

I'm not saying these Aussies are locks or anything close, just that there is a fair middle ground between "Shit stats, no chance" and "Going to rip up the league."

That the Warriors are playing Ingles a lot over other players suggest that they might see something they like at least.

@milhouse:

regardless of Summer League outcome but Jawai has a guaranteed contract amongst mentioned players.

NBA teams are already paying the guys they want filling up the boxscores $10m+ a yr. With ellis, maggette, jackson, and now morrow, curry, and randolph do you really think the warriors are looking for a scorer? Chances are Ingles has been told we're going to give you minutes, go out there and use your length and skills to disrupt the opposition and make plays on both ends and shoot if your open. Sure he's not shooting well but if points is what they are judging him on he wouldnt still be getting minutes would he?

You are misinformed if you think summer league is just nba teams assembling players and telling them you are all competing for shots so just try and score as many as you can. What happens if a team is looking for a defensive center, do they judge them on how many points they score in a summer league game or how many rebounds blocks and stops they get?

There are many ways to make it in the league but Ingles must start making open shots.

Just a quick note as I'm reading ths in transit - just because Ingles is playing for the Warriors doesn't mean they are the only team that can sign him. Even if they are choc-a-block full on long wingmen, that's not to say every team there is, and that someone else hasn't been impressed with his performances...

Unfortunately the only way for ingles to make it is prove he can score and play D. He ain't scoring but is he playing as that might make a team take a chance on him. I wish them all luck cause it will benefit Australia Basketball.

Ingles is a free agent and not locked to the Warriors if he wants to play in the league unfotunately Mills is locked at Portland because he got drafted and they hold his rights. Ingles lucked out not being drafted and poor Patty is stuck.

Quick note. Before peeps sledge about writing reviews from boxscores, it is pretty easy to watch these games. I have tragically watched 7 or so games already, as crappy as they are.
Ive "seen" Ingles play twice. He has looked ok, but hasnt stood out. Johnson beat him up pretty good when he played the bulls. Took him in the block and off the dribble.

Nevill played a nice game today 12p 4R 2B in short mins. You'd have to think that he can at worst get a couple of 10 dayers (like Schensch) just on his sheer size - and the fact he has a modicum of skill... I'd be liking his chances to stick on a teams 15...

Ingles is totally going to rip up the league. Teams are looking for guys that can't shoot and have poor lateral movement on D. As long as they are long, this is the role they will play, standing around being long. If you get enough long stiffs together you will win the championship ... well you at least need one. Many teams are just one long stiff away from winning the big one so it may be celtics, lakers, spurs, cavs someone will sign him for like a 13 year contract. Lebron said he would love to have a white stiff to dunk on in practice each day for a little boost to his self esteem so he might land there.
