could tournament results go on twitter or sms ?

i know nothing much about twitter except you can send messages.

use sms a bit.

with tournament results going mainly on line - which is good.

would a tournament committee ever consider using twitter / sms to update results or messages for your pool only to a nominated number - established before the tournament ?

if u use twitter you would use a hash tag to keep it correct...

#36ersVTigers in it every time..example only..

what i am thinking about is - you register a certain phone number or twitter to a certain pool in a tournament - then any results updates for that pool are sms'd to that phone or updated on twitter.

not everyone has an iphone for internet access for results when interstate - so sms results updates would be good

would be easy as...getting a mass sms account is easy as...incurred into the overall cost..

smsglobal and plenty of others..

twitter with a hashtag would be the best...there would be 3 ppl in the group that would have a data run phone...guaranteed..
