Roy Ward just replied to me and said don't expect any word until an hour or so before tip-off.

You can't roll an ankle and expect to play within two days. If you do, it will tear more tissues.

Oh I thought he rolled it the day before last game. Well one week is about right if not serious.

Happened in the third quarter against Illawarra last week, and he didn't return.

One can't help feeling a bit sympathetic towards Melbourne...
such a strong team, possibly dessimated by injuries.

Nope you pay money for a lot of experience with little youth and you get wear and tear injuries and poor recovery times. That's how it is. Thats why Sixers happy to see some players leave. Once people in heavy manual handling industries and sport are hitting the 10 year mark, the risk is exponential and repetitive... so having a larger no of younger and developing players is ideal. And fit ones at that. Some of these players have no tone or definition so look like they are not gaining any benefit from strength and conditioning and recovery. Consider the Sixers and how fast and fit they are. We are all in admiration of their guns as well as their athleticism.

Ware was only precautionary !!! thought it looked a little like he just couldn't handle the pressure and defensive attention.
