Chuatwech Reath. He plays SBL with the East Perth Eagles. He doesn't do much at SBL level so I don't know why he's training with the Wildcats

Can already see some import cuts soon.

Looks like cairns got there imports right but sucked on getting a decent bench.
Phoenix got it wrong.
Brisbane imports have been surprising.

havent seen Sydney's imports yet... or much of Perth’s new ones.

Terrible import pick, guy is less than state league. Need an athletic 6'9 guy like Oliver or Wiley from Adelaide last year.

They need 2 centres. An Aussie like mathiang or death woukd come in handy plus an import. Acuoth ain't done much either, but expected.

The guy average 12 & 7 in Germany last year, and had some solid numbers in good European comps previously, obviously has some talent but would want to improve quick to stay here!

Not sure it's fair to be putting shit on Benson after one presumably bad game he's been in decent form for SEM so far I think he had a double-double in their last game.

Pineau workin hard, better than any big outside of Wesley.

Starting 5
Roberson
Madgen
Creek
Wesley
New import centre

Backup 5
Adnam
Gibson
Stephens
Trist
Pineau

Hickey
Armstong
Acuoth

Looking real thin after starting 5.
Need 2 imports to come in after they boot benson.
Trist is gone after this season I reckon, Acuoth too.
Hickey will get a spot somewhere.

Come on in their last game in the win over Cairns Benson started and had 12p, 11r, 5-8 fg, 2-3 ft, 3 fouls in 20 min.

The game before that a win over Brisbane Benson started and had 12p, 5r, 2s, 6-9 fg, 5 fouls in 17 min.

The game before that an OT loss to Cairns Benson had 6p, 6r, 3-6 fg, 2 fouls in 18 min off the bench.

Unlikely not with the numbers he's been putting up so far he would need to struggle in the games at the Blitz before that would happen.

The Kings would've loved numbers like that out of David Wear last season.

Lamelo played very well in their game against SEM. He's definitely capable of putting up big offensive numbers in the NBL. Just needs to stay out of foul trouble. Illawarra look pretty cohesive as a team. If Brooks has a good season, they will be a winning team imo.

SEM looked lost. They desperately need Creek. Benson needs to step up, Roberson and Stephens are playing well, but not much else going on for them.

With a good C, they'll have a good starting 5 but some of the benches for these teams are terrible and need to get better for us to be considered a top 5 league.

You say Roberson is playing well yet his last couple of games he's played poorly.

This is the fickle nature of reading too much into one or even two games Roberson has the pedigree he was playing in Russia and will be a borderline star in the NBL. Benson may not be a star but has played in the NBA and put up okay numbers in Germany which is a standard comparable to the NBL.

It's madness to be calling for imports to be cut after one bad game especially when they had a double double in limited minutes in their previous game.

Wait until after the blitz before judging imports.

Roberson played well today, Benson was a mile off. If people who have watched previous games say Benson struggled then too, then I see no reason he mightn't be on notice to improve.

Exactly after the Blitz then you have a larger sample size to look at.

I was hoping to see more DPs play in the pre season, and games with the Sydney Kings and NBL teams. The Kings without Bogut at this years blitz is a good idea to see what if Bogut gets hurt, what plan B is?

Moller & Tate played well for the Kings last night.

Tate started and Moller came off the bench for Tate around the 3 minute mark. They played a fair bit together in the second half on the wings, looked great mind you against a very willing team and coached well but still not the near the quality of nbl. Kickett looked good in five spot. The only disappointment was Kauny who seemed to struggle a bit.

Kings will be interesting this season, there certainly not favourites, there ball movement looked fantastic.

Barlow out for three weeks, Kendrick Drew replacement. Not like for like, Prather four and Smith Milner.
