Sydney Kings official team song by L-Fresh The Lion

Aussie hip hop artist L-FRESH The LION has been selected to soundtrack NBL team Sydney Kings' new Rise With Us campaign.

The Sydney artist was selected for his "empowering sound, love of basketball, ongoing local community involvement and strong Western Sydney roots" and inked anthem We The Kings alongside producers Zig Parker and Solo, who worked on the lyrics with players from the team.

The new song has been announced as Sydney Kings launches Rise With Us, a campaign that will see the team focus more on entertainment and inclusivity throughout its 2019-20 season.

Basketball and hip hop go hand in hand.

Questionable grammar and hip hop go hand in hand. It also could use a hype man to express admiration of the Kings' dunk shots.
Yes, it makes me want to throw my hands in the air, but it makes me want to then wave them like I actually do care, which I understand in the hip hop community is seen as an overzealous attitude, aka doing too much.

Yeah, basketball is intertwined with hip hop culture. It's good to mix some of that in just as much as I think some rock could also mix well with it. The song is a bit cliche but it's not bad. I've always thought the 36ers should connect with the Hilltop Hoods to create something but that would be too much thinking for the Sixers I'm sure.

Sixers would expect Hilltop Hoods to do it for free...

HAHAHA Yeah, get the Hilltop Hoods to do it for exposure or something.

Sixers would get a song from Hilltop and then hold them to contract for any royalties for future albums

36ers had a song until 12 years ago I think, something about being the Pride of Adelaide. Perth still use theirs.

Pretty sure the Kings have never had a team song, EVER!

Kings had a song years ago, maybe 1992. It was by their then court announcer Rodney O. It started with an intro of all the players and was quite catchy. I've tried in vain many times to find it but sadly to no avail.

Although I do remember the opening verse.

It was by their then court announcer Rodney O.

I think I read on their socials that he's back this season.

Jason Cadee once "wrote" a team song for the Kings when he was there. It was Truly a juvenile and CRINGEY effort.

He didn't write it, he stole it from some football team (NRL or AFL, can't remember).

"The Adelaide 36ers
The team for one and all
The pride of South Australia
The tops in basketball"

That was the chorus. I always thought it should have been:
“The team from the zone and All”, referencing the ship.

Come on now, it's an old ClintDogg meme. He used to ask that if someone criticised him on forums to remind them he used to work courtside for the Newcastle Falcons.

Mock, Cadee didn't "write" the song, it's the lame Bulldogs (NRL) thing that they yell out when they win "The Dogs are having a party, Whoop there it is". Absolutely retarded.

Josh Powell seemed to like it but every other import and really most players thought it was the lames thing ever, which it was.
