This is potentially huge news for the NBL.

Could we see Aussies from Europe come back for one season to keep in shape, stay safe before a vacine is developed, ride out the Covid storm while earning lunch money?

The Brandts, Motums, Broekoffs, Maker, Mathiang, Pinder, LANDALE???

The list goes on.

Will opt outs like Kay and Ware return as well as Cotton?

What a turn around, we went from losing top talent a few weeks ago to a potential list of talent that are 'settling' for coming home.

I will watch every Landale game if that comes through.

Hence Cottons announcement today. He would have been back anyways the cats should have just bide their time and saved themselves a few dollars

This is what I said a few weeks ago all the doom and gloom of players like Cotton, Ware etc potentially leaving when the possibility of top tier imports/Aussies from overseas preferring to come here in a "down year" for a paid holiday.

Covid-19 makes Australia a very attractive place to play this league compared to the likes of Italy, Spain, Russia or China.

This doesn't affect the 2020-21 season (yet), except inasmuch as it won't have to be delayed due to a late finish to this season.

The 2020-21 EuroLeague and EuroCup seasons will start on October 1 and September 30, 2020, respectively, as previously approved
