Many of you will say this is Patty standard mode but I think it's worth the beast mode title.
Patty Mills is currently eating up the lakers.
25pts and 6 assists with still a quarter to play.

The only sad thing about this, was being held back by Pop / Spurs. Patty should have moved on from the Spurs his previous contract year. Great to see him thriving despite all this.

In theory Pop, by not maximising Patty's minutes, meant he was fresher for the Boomers medal run. Thanks Pop.

So Patty in his first (I think) Christmas day outing, just smashed out a record for 3 pointers on the day.
Meanwhile Steph has played in 8 of them.

Seriously though, should Patty be getting more attention in the US? Should he be an All-Star? Favourite for MIP?
Even Simmons has has a higher scoring game than that chucker Mills.
With Kyrie due to return part-time in the new year, how will the minutes be distributed? Should have shopped him in off season for whatever they could have gotten.
Not Patty's first Christmas game, I saw him at Oracle on Christmas Day when he was playing for Portland. This one a bit more noteworthy, though.
He is getting decent commentary in US media, I think. Lowe raised him as a strong 6th man of the year candidate and basically said the biggest thing standing in his way is possibly starting too many games. I don't think he's really in the most improved conversation because his baseline was pretty high, and it's hard to be an All-Star candidate next to guys as ball-dominant as Durant and Harden. And while it's great that he had a stellar game today, his averages aren't on par with guys like DeRozan, Lavine, Young, Ball, Butler, or many of the wings who could end up as 'back-court' options given ballot construction. If he produced a game like today every week, it would be a different story, though.
