New Rules for High School Players Wanting to Enter NBA Draft

High Schoolers who sign pro contracts w G League Unite, OTE or overseas will no longer be be automatically eligible for the following draft.

Australian outlets are saying this will benefit the NBL, but I don't think it necessarily will, except with players like Terry Armstrong who were never NBA ready let alone Europe ready and they'd at least get another paid year.

Also new rules regarding players being required to "fully participate" in the draft -

Yeah it might make NBL (and other pro pathways) more attractive to players who arent in that one and done level and want to develop for a couple of years before declaring.

Isn't it just saying they won't be forced to nominate for the next draft rather than they can't nominate?
