You know a company is in trouble when they sneak in a short line in their quarterly announcement regarding sale of 4% of Perth Wildcats. Not much detail at all except the fact he received $1.5m and it is a packaged deal which includes shares in his other sporting teams.

It's for equity in all 4 teams that SEG owns which you would say Wildcats are the biggest piece. He paid around 8.5 from memory just for Perth so on paper this is proving the LK model of VC style investing is working.

They sold 4% of their portfolio that includes the Wildcats, not just the Wildcats.
So $1.5m / 0.04 is not the Wildcats Valuation.
