funny about phil saying they wanted farley to stay after the championship cos i remember hearing that he didnt even call him he just went after charles thomas!!

Farley priced himself out of the league. His agent doubled his first year price and therefore we could not afford him...he then went to play in the "NBA" which turned out to be the summer pro league and then ended up with the pigs for less money than what he was originaly on here.
In the mean time we had to do something and CT was that something.

Spot on Kent, however no matter how it happened it was heart breaking to see Farley leave and even worse seeing him in another uniform. It is sweet, sweet, sweet, sweet that he is back.

Over the nexty few weeks. Bit funny.
Anyway, nice to have some information. And it's interesting to learn that clubs can't announce or promote any signing before it's official.
Which is odd considering that I've seen some promotional/signing-type articles on the NBL site with a post-fix about the signing not yet being made official by the league.

I think a club can annouce they are "trialling" a player, but cant say they have actually signed a player, until the NBL ratifies the contract.
