NH: Has anyone played free poker?

there are a number of free poker tournaments going at various pubs around adelaide has anyone gone to one of these.

i went last friday and saturday and it was great fun totally free the only catch was to get an extra 2000 in chips you need to spend $30 over the bar but you dont have to spend a cent if you dont want to.

i had a ball at the last one i went to and came 8th out of 50 odd and im no poker real poker player here are the links

Ive been and its rubbish stuff if you are actually a keen poker player who knows their stuff.

If you wanna socialise with a few beers and just play then its all good. But once you've played the real stuff it really is a lame substitute: playing with drunken strangers.

Still, for those who have not had much exposure to poker it will do great things for the game in this state and is a sweet place to start.

but none are even close to
PKR poker it's by far the best.

yeah i have been and its great those who think that this is a cheap substitute are most likely the people who sit at home on their computers all night playing online poker
