Australia Post Boomers centre David Andersen has tasted championship victory in Moscow after his CSKA team defeated Triumph 81-71 to win the Russian Superleague overnight.
Andersen finished with 10 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists in the ten point victory, cementing CSKA's reputation as Russia's best club.
A powerhouse in world basketball, CSKA has won 13 Superleague championships in the past fifteen years, missing out in 2001 and 2002.
Andersen (212cm, 107kg, 27 yrs) will now turn his attention to the EuroLeague quarter finals, where 16 teams remain in the battle for Europe's ultimate club crown.
