flannagan, smith, hirst, poto, wilson - all over foley is wrong.

jess' experience alone at duke puts here miles ahead of them.

cayla has some comp - but deserves a spot ahead of tolo and penaluna

timms = boomers in
graf = caps in

Foley needs to get her head back in the game if she wants to make an opals squad. She was all over the place last season. Francis will get there. She is still only very young

Cayla ahead of Tolo? Are you nuts?!

Your kidding yourself if you'd chose Cayla over Tolo.

The spots for the Talls is going to be a great battle:

Shoe ins:

Jacko, Batkovic,

then a list of guns fighting it out:

Elizabeth Cambage (Bulleen Boomers, WNBL)
Hollie Grima (Frisco Sika Brno, Czech Republic)
Elyse Penaluna (Bulleen Boomers, WNBL)
Laura Summerton (Basket Parma, Italy)
Marianna Tolo (Canberra Capitals, WNBL)

Cambage gets the nod for me - with Summerton getting the nod at one of the 4 spots.

Amazing that Grima/Summerton are technically the shorties of that bunch.

Cambage also gets the nod from me, problem is I have zero idea how Summerton and Grima are travelling overseas.

Tolo gets the nod if they decide they need another 'big' defensive stopper.

What about Emma Randall?

No idea how the Opals Coaching staff get to track how the overseas contingent are going.

I guess you take a look at players numbers, their teammates / opposition, then initially lean toward the 6 or 7 that are 50/50 shots and pray to god that the scrimages go the same way.

I think the opals have got all spots covered, they really need a few role players (not everyone can be a super-star). Possibly a tall 2-guard is (and always has been) the Opals biggest hole. Maybe O'Hea? Would definitely hold her own in D.

Ridiculous that Francis isn't in there.

O'Hea would be a shoe in after her brilliant performance this past WNBL season, along with Cambage.

Would be great to see if Nat Hurst got a go but she is so small and has great gaurds to compete with which is going to make job hard!

Francis and Foley are no where near this group, Francis will be in the future probably but not at the current state our bigs are at.

Screen and Richards should not be there, Summerton will not make the team.
