How does Poto keep getting a gig? Nicole Hunt would have to be one of the supreme point guards in the country, behind only Harrower so when is it her turn to show what she has got with the opals group? Graffie made no big calls on getting rid of those that were clearly not up to international standard at the Worlds. Good to see some young girls given a chance but Mia Newley & Camino can count themselves unlucky, both proven stars at world junior level

Interesting squad.

I'm also a bit miffed that a few players have been selected despite either not cutting it at International level previously or are around the age of 30 and have never been able to "make it" previously. I'm not saying they do not deserve to be "ranked" in the top echelon of players for Australia, but surely we should be picking those that are locks (i.e. Jackson, Taylor etc) but also the talented younger players that are on the periphery and may not yet have had a chance to estblish themselves on the senior international stage.

In any case, my "locks" for the Opals team are pending availability and fitness permitting are:

Jackson
Taylor
Cambage
Batkovic
Harrower
O'Hea
Snell

for mine, the above selections are no-brainers, and that leaves 5 more spots up for grabs IMO.
