NZ's Tai Wynyard commits to University of Kentucky

6'9" 16yo Breakers DP & Tall Black Tai Wynyard has committed to play NCAA Basketball for the University of Kentucky in 2016 under John Calipari.

There are currently no less than 18 current NBA players who attended UK which bodes well for the talented New Zealander.

I just don't get how a 16 year old who still has not completed year 12 can commit?

Good luck to him, hope we do see him at 18 Nationals.

I don't think this will be a bad decision. He will learn under Calipari and to be honest every single training will probably be tougher and harder than what most college players would get in their conference games.

Don't know if I support Salt's decision to head to UVA.

Never really rated him too highly - he will transfer next season I think. Hasn't got on at all this season AFAIK.
