I have a feeling the Bullets will get this one.
Maybe it's more hope.
Beal's overdue for a big one and the signing of Kendle (and Izzy) should mean less court time again for Bruce and Te Rangi, which at this stage is a good thing.

Interesting the Hawks have gone from 1.48 down to 1.33 pretty quickly. Who's out on top of the usual for Brisbane?

Brissy aren't really convincing me, but the threes keep on dropping for them. Their issues are primarily between the ears IMO so I'll be interested to see if they can keep this up in the 2nd half or whether they tighten up.

It's great that the long ball was dropping in that half for the Bullets but I'd like to see TC getting into the lane and getting some buckets at the rim from here on out

Brad Rosen is the commentator equivalent of a point guard pounding the air out of a ball. John Casey has been a treat to listen to though.

Also, Cody Ellis infuriates me, if only because he looks like he's just jumped out of a cliche 90s teen movie.

Lemanis is a good coach but wow... there is a large sample size now to suggest game on the line and needing a basket, don't expect a great play for a score. His ATO play calling is whack, wtf was that???

Beal had quite a fair few inconsistent game in Perth, he just stepped up during the Finals last season and carried some of that form over early this season. He seemed to be on a similar funk to Lisch lately though.

In Beal's Defense, I think with the Hawkies still having fouls to give I think he expected a quick foul and tried to milk a 4pt play put of it...

Great charge taking win by Mitch Norton.

Eh you could be right Zodiac, I kind of wondered why Lemanis went for Kendle after getting Tueta if its only for backing up the PG spot. He might be looking to reduce Dolla's minutes...

Kendle still has calf injury Air Delay, maybe 2 more weeks. They signed him injured in case they made it to Finals.

I think the commentators said Kendle is expected to play on Sunday.

He might be looking to reduce Dolla's minutes...

Beal's got an option on his contract for next season, might just be a little nudge.

AKA I respectfully can't agree... No question Beal threw up a ridiculous off balance shot attempt, but Beal getting that look was clearly one of the options. Kickert popping out for a catch looked like the initial option but it was denied. But our elimination losses at both the 2014 world champs and 2016 olympics we were absolutely shut down and got horrible looks on the last possession. Not a Lemanis hater, think he is a really good coach but I think it's a fair observation that his teams haven't had great looks after time-outs in recent times.

I don't want to have selective memory, I just can't remember a game this year or recently where his team has got a clean look in that game on the line situation.

The play in Rio was good, it was set up for a Patty Mills lay-up. A player (Andersen? Can't remember) wasn't strong with the ball and had it easily tipped out of his hands.

I agree the play in Turkey was poor though.

Brisbane looked good first half attacking and converting the full court pressure Hawks put on.
Second half Hawks eased off the up the court and got into half court game at both ends. That is their game. Brisbane actually looked good when they took an early shot in their offence.
Kay and Norton were huge down stretch.
Kickert got going afinally, but how does your best player Torry Craig only take 3 shots in 25 minutes. Brisbane did not attack the hoop enough. Although the Mitch Young AJ mugging was ridiculous. When i first saw it on TV it looked an obvious foul in real time and so did all the players. The replay confirmed it was a swipe across his arm and instead of Young shooting free throws Brisbane gave up an uncontested lay up.
Tortoise and the hare though. Sure and steady beats flash and dash.
Hawks with more home games to come, look good for playoffs.
