Mitch Norton out six weeks, broken thumb

Illawarra's bid to climb up the NBL ladder has been dealt a blow with fringe Boomers guard Mitch Norton ruled out six weeks.

Norton has undergone surgery on a broken thumb suffered in the Hawks' loss to Melbourne United on Monday.

The club, which is searching for an injury replacement for their starting point guard, said Norton played the second half of the game with the injury.

Pity that Jeremy Kendle is an import would slot in nicely I think.
Rhys Martin would probably start and they look for a temporary back up.
No idea who is available though.

Indiana Faithful will take up some of his minutes I heard. Another ex-Kings that will no doubt follow in the footsteps of many exiles and blossom into a decent player with a chip on their shoulders.

Pity Angus Glover tore his left ACL again a few weeks ago, otherwise it'd be him getting the lion share of the minutes.

Indiana showed some flashes during that particular train wreck of a Sydney Kings season.

What about the shortest player in the nbl ever? The Adnam equivalent. Both with the same game ;)
