Ryan Broekhoff latest?

He has worked out for a few NBA teams with Brooklyn showing the most interest.

With the Nets Summer League campaign approaching, I see that he is not apart of their roster.

Surely if they were that interested in him, he would at least be given a Summer League look?

Anyone know what is happening with Rowdy? Perhaps he will return to Europe?

As Ryan Broekhoff awaits a potential first NBA contract in the US, the multi-year European offers continue to mount up for the sharpshooting Australian.

Already on the table was a 2-year deal with Russian side Khimki Moscow, and now he is also reported to be considering a 3-year deal with another EuroLeague side in Anadolu Efes Istanbul.

European offers mount for Ryan Broekhoff as he waits for NBA opportunity

I think its a situation where he's actually above summer league. From memory Ingles didn't play summer league the year he signed either (not 100% on that, can someone confirm?). Teams by now know what he can do, and its a case of deciding whether they want to give him a chance.

Yeah, I don't think he'd have any interest in summer league. It's probably just a matter of $$$ now - are NBA teams willing to offer as much as Euro teams.

Brooklyn nets fan pages all over him.
Stating the 'down under connection'
Sean marks (NZ) and 2 trainers from Oz.
Thinking it could be a draw card...

I'm not so sure

Summer League is for youngsters or journeymen who are desperate. Not Broekhoff calibre players.

I get the feeling this year will finally be his year. Him and Ingles are different players, but have some similarities and there stories would be quite similar. With the success of Ingles, rise of Aussie basketball and the attributes Broekhoff brings to the table, I get a feeling someone might finally take a punt on him. It would be a pretty low risk high reward for most teams.

Could be that Brooklyn don't want to show him off too much so as not to give him too much exposure which could open the door for other offers from other teams.

They know what he brings and they have probably already seen enough by now; no point trying to see what you already know about a guy if that puts him at risk of another team seeing him and picking him up.

Ingles proved that with the opportunity to showcase his skills he is more than a match for his opponents in the NBA, let's hope it also works out for Broekhoff...

100% - Broekhoff does not need to play Summer League. Ingles did not either.

They are NBA ready players and it all comes down to being offered a contract at the right money.

Those Khimki and Anadolu Efes deals are worth big money.

You need the opportunity to step on the court during the season. Base minimum should be enough for him to sign, just like Jingles
