Channel 7 Sport news announced that AD is "on notice" and "its understood the sixers have already identified an American replacement".
Seems strange to make this public, no pressure on AD in this weeks game then.

They probably realise Joey is likely leaving so threatening to ditch his boy Deleon.
Unusual to come out in the media and say an import is on notice before they actually have done anything. Replacement hopefully better suited to the team.

If they did indeed leak this, it's another dick move from the 36ers... For a third level import it's a bit rich... Especially when Ramone hasn't been playing (is there any word on his return date?).
Not that I don't mind seeing them implode, if they've got a new import lined up, they should just pull the trigger and do it right...

Why would they do that? They're hoping his contract becomes fully guaranteed for the rest of the season if the old 10 game rule still applies this will be Game #9 for the Sixers meaning he would need to be cut next week because once he plays in Game #10 his contract becomes guaranteed.

I am just playing devil's advocate, there are a number of people who could of leaked the story.
I thought it was 8 games (over a quarter of the season)

More minutes for teys. He has stepped up. Give him credit he plays with passion. He solid defensive and capable shooter when feet are set. Team orientated. More minutes be to teams advantage.
Deleon is crap ... if they do not cut him this week coming it is a 5-7th finish for this team .
Does not suit team and Sobey is better with more space at the top to operate . Speaking of , his attitude has dropped again ... needs to drop the tension .
We should have let DJ walk and got an absolute stud import with the $$$.
DJ gives up as much as gives in his flaws , comes up big sometimes but IMO we will not win a title with him as our main man .
Moore , Wiley , Deng and Froling can cover the front court and Drmic plays big so again we have a dearth of like for likes .
We need a closer combo guard who can stud up next to Sobey , have one of them carry the offense at all times at the stagger of minutes .
