Perth import options?

?? Rumours of Terrence Jones. A record of ill discipline and bad behaviour would discount him being considered.

Any other possible imports being considered ??

Perth have already publicly stated they won't be bringing in another import.

Ray Turner, good luck if true, you would be better keeping wagstaff. Lol

What? Don't see any announcement about Turner? He's a 5 man, no ability to play the 4 in the NBL. He has no range at all
Absolute beast at SEABL level though as an undersized 5

Turner would be a backup to Bogut. Which is something they need desperately.

Third import. Which they could get. Bowen isn't classified as an import. They had to get rid of Acuoth to bring Turner in.

They should absolutely grab a 3rd import

At worst Ray Turner or Derek Cooke are upgrades on Greg Hire or Tom Jervis right now, so what would you have to lose

For the Kings Turner is easily an upgrade on Accouth, so even if he isnt that good, its still an upgrade, so why would anyone bag the move, you always should get the best 11 players you can, Aussie or Import

If you are going to leave import spots on the table, you better make sure your worst player is better than a cheap import (Accouth, Hire, Jervis are not) or you are leaving talent on the table which is stupid imo and can cost you championships.

@ captain you must be Turners agent, he's no upgrade on Cook, Jarvis or Hire. Perth maybe should get extra import but might as well try for some quality.

If looking at min salary to spend, you not going to get a star.

My point was Turner is better than Accouth, so a good move by Kings, its an upgrade

Cooke (or similar) would be better than Hire or Jervis, so keeping Hire and Jervis and leaving the import spot open is essentially a downgrade and imo the wrong move.

Jameel McKay would be better any day of the week than Cooke as he could actually block and change poeples shots. Cooke didnt have that prescence.

Sydney doing what it needs to win, dont see anything happening for the cats.

Yes McKay is better, but also likely costs more

Thats the trade off

If they could afford to bring MCKay back for Hire or Jervis, they would be stupid to not do it.

And pretty likely no championship either. (if they scrape through to get in the finals) Time for a bench clean-out next year.

What's the contract situation on the older Perth locals? Time for a bunch of retirements and a rebuild period?

Not sold on the new Kings guy, but if he's been training with them and they've seen that he can work ok, then all good... I just think that they need more defensive help for when Bogut goes off and another 4 won't do that, unless he's a Jawai light...

Perth shooting themselves in the foot only going with two imports it seems as their local bench hasn't stepped up and a couple of players have taken a step back, and running out of time to bring in anyone... Saving some cash for a splash next season, or has Cotton used up all their savings?

Carfino in a video podcast described the wildcats organisation as being arrogant about their team and capabilities. If you get hung up on "wildcats basketball" being something special then it becomes a shock when you realize your only as good as your team and coach.

Thats a fair call, and a much more accurate analysis than anything Homicide has said. Gleeson needs to understand that just because you put on the red jersey, you can't magically will the team to achieve good results, especially not considering that the other contenders seem to have a lot more scoring weapons than Perth.

@ WookieE

Turner was first in fouls committed and third in turnovers. As Trist is finding the nbl is a different level.

You do realise that Carfino has hated the Wildcats for more than 30 years?
