Not sold on the Breakers squad this season. Will be interesting to see how they go. Seems they will be blocking a lot of shots though :)

SG Webster / Henry (or other way round)

By round 5 it'll be the other way round.

Theyre a Tier 3 team IMO - Cairns are also on Tier 3

Sek Henry brings back memories of Myron Allen. Good player

Henry is a beast. Tier 2 for mine, plenty of experienced depth and a great coach too boot. Hampton is the enigma, he must be pretty freakin' awesome if they're putting this kind of faith in him, especially considering the maturity of this group.

Strongest bench in the league without question.

Good signings to round out the 19/20 roster.

Sek Henry and Scotty Hopson are not unknown quantities to Dan Shamir, both playing in Israel and Hopson playing a season for Shamir.
Ater Majok had a good campaign for Lebanon in NZ against the Tall Blacks during the world cup qualifications so it's great to see him signed especially having an Aussie passport.
Obekpa & Majok will hopefully keep teams honest in the paint.

Hampton (6.5") / Weeks (6.1")
Henry (6.4") / Webster (6.2")
Hopson (6.7") / Abercrombie (6.6") / Ngatai (6.5")
Delany (6.7") / Obekpa (6.9") /Vodanavich (6.7")
Majok (6.10") / Loe (6.11")

NZ can create quite a few mismatches with roster versatility.

Love all the fanboys thinking an 18yr old kid is going to be the starting PG in the NBL.
Better make sure he has on the extra capacity diapers!
Although I'm sure he will get to spend some time there.

Also doubt Hopson has come all this way to play 3rd string off the bench.

I think you will find it will look more like this:

Henry / Weeks
Webster / Hampton
Hopson / Abercrombie / Ngatai
Obekpa / Delaney / Vodanovich
Majok / Loe

or possibly this:

Henry / Hampton / Weeks
Hopson / Webster
Abercrombie / Ngatai
Obekpa / Delaney / Vodanovich
Majok / Loe

Santamaria saying Delaney starting, but he's a commentator so probably got no idea.

These guys put up really poor numbers in college. They've been ok in some of the European leagues since but they're disappointing signings when you consider the names that were being thrown around (Noah, Monta etc).

Really disappointing year for nbl, not the way it's run but the depth in talent, expected a lot more. A few next stars is great but little else.

Not a big fan of the Henry signing. Webster suffered last year splitting minutes with Richard. I figure Webster gets the minutes.

Feel money better spent at the 4 & 5.

Like the majok signing. Both the new bigs will probably be foul prone given they are shot blockers.

Last year, like this year, they were very deep. But sometimes getting a strong 8 rotation is better.

It's a deep and versatile lineup. Majok looked great playing for Lebanon, but is he up to NBL standards?

Too early to say whether they'll be good or not, I think the roster last year was fine but Braswell wasn't up to it. Shamir looks the goods on paper, but it remains to be seen whether he can do the job.

Loe won't be starting, you're reading too much into the order of players by position on the NBL's article on the new signings.

The Teams Owner has said as much, is he a fanboy or a fanowner?
You are high if you think a kid who's a projected top 5 pick in next years draft with great size for his position isn't going to start for NZ.
Plus Hampton is a PG not a SG.

Webster & Abercrombie had dismal seasons last year and yet you have them projected to start in front of the new Imports?
Are you their fanboy?

I think Hampton will have his share of ups and downs, but he's an elite athlete at 6'5" playing PG. I think he can start and cope.
