Good half by Argentina, shooting the three ball very impressive. Joker playing well. Didn't realise how good a lot of these teams are.

Spain will sadly be too tough although I'd love to be wrong. Let's hope for a Poland miracle tonight for an even easier path after Czechia. Dreaming I know.

Argentina look like they will win this. Now up 11 with 3 minutes remains. Argentina looks more aggressive, Serbia seem shocked. It also helps when you are converting 3s at nearly 50% while the opposition is at 30%.

Argentina 6-0

It was tough to rate Argentina since their path included wins over relatively weaker opponents: Nigeria, Korea, Russia, Venezuela, Poland. But Serbia is a huge scalp.

Predictions on tougher/easier oponenets at this stage of events is risky, to say the least.

Look no further than our own results, Against Canada we were the underdogs, Senegal were better than expected, then finish our pool with a win over powerhouse, Lithuania. Dom Rep went to script then we account for the world no3 team, France.

And just now, watched Arg beat Serbia.

If Poland does beat Spain, then I'm very worried. At least, we know what to expect with Spain!

I think it's safe to say that there are a lot of very capable teams around the world. At this stage of the tournament underestimate anyone at your peril.

I'm going to be so upset if USA win this tournament.

It's the best opportunity ever for another team to win it - I don't think you'll ever see a USA team as weak as this in future (in saying that though they are obviously still very good). Can't see them reverting back to college players anytime soon.

France could pull it off tonight. Fingers crossed.

Really impressed with Argentina. Great passing and transition work. Some "very solid plays". Good for the tournament that they progressed IMO. I dont mind seeing serbia go down. Aside from Bogdanovich, who has been outstanding, serbia play a ugly game centred around the strength of their bigs. Their game reminded me of the old USSR teams of the 70s and 80s.

If France and us win today would set up an awesome final rounds.

USA have definitely not clicked offensively. With Rudy Gobert there as well, could definitely happen.

Fournier needs to keep balling out. And DeColo should start.

Don't know if De Colo needs to start.

Dynamite off the bench and Albicy makes things happen. Absolute bulldog

USA shoot the most 3s out of all teams, but they are shooting it just 33%. This makes USA capable of blowing out leads if they start connecting at a good clip, but also makes them vulnerable with a poor shooting night. Hopefully France have a good game plan for their next game.

The Czechs are a real danger for us. Each time we have an awesome win, they don't really show up the following game.

Warm-ups
Canada 1st time - ordinary
Canada 2ndtime - clinical
USA 1st time - acceptable
USA 2nd time - insane
Germany - disappointing

Tourney
Canada - awesome
Senegal - lucky
Lithuania - inspirational
Dominican Republic - passmark (just)
French - legends
Czechs Republic - ??????

They need to come to play tonight!!!!

#667 I agree that it's not the players who lost that I'm happy to see lose. Full credit to those guys for stepping out to do the job. But I think it's fantastic for international basketball that a US C-team will finish outside the top 4.
