Cairns v New Zealand Dec 6

What a game to open proceedings for Round 10. Cairns at home are particularly hard to beat and are in that log jam for 4th spot. It doesn't matter if they make finals, just so long as they finish higher than Brisbane.

New Zealand are travelling about as well as rugby Australia, and not even inspirational motivational speaker Israel Folau could inspire them to a win this game, no matter how much they pay him.

Cairns are tricky at home. They have won their last 3 home games, and this year have the big scalps of Melbourne (twice) and Perth as well as the "Mexicans" from Brisbane. They have lost to Sydney and our fan favourite team of the Hawks. The Breakers on the road have struggled like a guy who lied on his resume he could disarm IEDs. 0/5 on the road this season and the last three losses have been in double figures.

It's not looking good for the cousins across the ditch as it's hard to see them milk the snakes tonight, who are definitely punching above their weight on court and in attracting the crowds to the game. Their only worry would be whether they decide to implode with turnovers and silly mistakes. Their average win at home is 7 points, but their loss is 9 points.

Snakes to strike early and hold onto a 5 point win.

Why is rice travelling?

Cairns should win this comfortably based on current form, but at the same time it feels like the Taipans play to the level of their opposition, so a sneaky Breakers' upset wouldn't be entirely out of the question either. Hopefully it's an entertaining enough warm-up game for the main event @ 9.30PM AEDT.

Rice will play. That's how stupid NZ are. Will come out with some BS how he's learnt his lesson, is in rehab and they've been impressed with his committment ...blah,blah,blah.
And THAT my friends, is why the Breakers are a basketcase.

Rice will be focussed on exactly two things:
1. Gilligans
(followed by)
2. Cover Girls

I believe Rice has a good chance of getting off his charges so Walsh and Shamir are prepared to play him

There has been talk and some articles that Rice's charge will be downgraded if not dropped altogether by early next week. CCTV, apparently, has revealed some idiots really went out of their way to prod, poke and provoke him.

Breakers will win.

Is Elton John playing in Cairns tonight? Because Friday Night's Alright For Fighting and Rice is getting steamed, I can smell it.

If Rice is innocent there is no reason for him not to play. So many people around here ready to condemn and they don't no shit.

Cairns look pretty solid. Machado looks like he could move into Casper, Cotton, Mello class. If Breakers can hang in till 5 min mark of Q4, they might be able to upset.

The inclusion of Rice changes a bit for the Breakers.

The Breakers are bad at fouling, no doubt. But the foul count is ridiculous.

Why did this one run so late considering it was a blowout?
