Mike James on teams radars.

was lucky enough to chat to JvG yesterday night at dinner in Adelaide's CBD. Very nice guy, easy to chat with. I asked him if he could give us any clues on who the Sixers are looking at as an import. Ofcourse he said no, however he mentioned a few teams including United are talking closely with Mike James?

Don't know too much about him as a player but his history does look kinda impressive. Would be an OK get for a team?

And? Doesn't stop him being on teams radars. BTW JvG mentioned how the lure of the league is also playing in an English speaking country and the fact the playstyle is different from Europe, players from the US are willing to take a paycut to play in Aus, rather than in Europe. Maybe the bloke might take a paycut to play for United or Sydney? They could easily offer him what Cotton is getting surely. Ffs Cotton turned down offers from Euroleague teams.

#116 I know nothing about James but if he is a top 10 player he's on a packet. The top euro earners are on around $5 million US in the hand and any around top 10/20 $2 million US in the hand.
Now in saying all that we are in strange times and the euro money is extremely good but contracts are getting covid clauses so that if it flairs up not all your contract will be paid, risk and reward. Australia’s contracts have been slashed but it is a safer option as your money will be paid.

Question. Why would Sixers GM be telling a stranger who other teams are looking at, specifically one player. A) How would he know and B)Why are multiple teams looking at same guy. Above reasons why he'd come here have merit, but think it's a load of shit.
