Elton Brand had Reddick/Butler/Shamet and still needed more shooting so went and got Horford/Richardson/Harris
GM must go surely

Good news for the Boomers, Brown has said previously he's unlikely to hang around in he NBA once his time at Philli is up, he'll move back here and have the one focus.
I doubt the boomers job is high paying. I think there is zero chance he moves here when most of the Boomers play in the NBA or overseas.

Boomers coaches receive only small stipend. Would not be able to live on it.

he will got to Brooklyn
it makes sense, Spurs tie with Sean marks, its close to his current location
he won't coach in the NBA again to rebuild a team the nets would allow him to show what he can do with talent (in his mind) nets would put him in a position to show what he is or isn't capable of.

Seems like Durant and Irving run the Nets currently so Brett will have to get their buy in to be made the coach.
Not convinced that will happen, but who knows Kyrie is a weird one.
Everyone seems like love Lue for some reason so think he will be deciding between the Nets and 76ers position.

Here's hoping for a Brett Brown Sacked by BA thread.

Would love him as Head Coach / GM of the Tassie NBL team.

r/NBA comment:
This is like starting a drag racing team and hiring a bus driver, then buying an ice cream truck as the first team vehicle. Then firing the bus driver because he couldn't win races because he had to keep selling ice cream to customers every 10 ft along the drag strip and it took 4 hours to run the quarter mile.

IF (very fanciful) Brett Brown went to Tassie or any other NBL team, that would give us 3 Boomers HCs in the league. A mini rivalry.
I would guess that Lemanis is now done, but, for after Tokyo, who would get the gig, assuming either one would want that then. Would Weaver join the contenders?
I have made this a New Topic if anyone wants to discuss those possibilities.

He'll pick up an assistant coach deal somewhere for sure. He's still got a lot of respect in the league

Nostraballmus say OMG no need for BigBensBabyBlanketBrettBrown to be Boomers coach now.
Do what's needed BA and hire someone who's proven they can medal at a major championships for Tokyo, the last chance to medal before this groups window shuts firmly
He'll pick up another gig being part of the Spurs family.
I just find that its interesting that one of reasons players didn't respect him was the lack of accountability he held the players to. Coming from Popovich you would think that it would be one of the tenets he would have subscribed to, maybe the long drought with the Process made him soft.
Lets hope the Patty Mills hire works for the boomers

Pop retires, Becky Head Coach, Brown and Timmy D as assistants
This next season will be the first time Simmons plays under a coach that doesn't have a family connection. It’s going to very good for him.

Brown recruited Kyrie's Dad to play at Bulleen in 1992. That's why he was born in Melbourne. He & KD chasing Pop hard to coach so wouldn't be suprised if BB ends up assistant at Brooklyn!

Why would Pop go to Brooklyn? It's very likely that he will retire now rather than go somewhere else, having been at Spurs for so many years.

So Spurs might be a good opportunity for Brown, with his experience and his links to the Spurs.

Could BB's sacking, or more accurately, his ultimate re-hiring, impact on his availability for Tokyo?
if he gets re-hired within the NBA it could impact on him

Brett Brown by no means is a bad coach at all but what do you do when the ownership stripped the roster butt naked of any shooters it once had to pair more play making space killers in Harris (no means s he a bad player) Horford (shell of ATL/Boston Horford which is fair at his age) Josh Richardson (Good young 2 way scorer/defender) and of course Embiid, with a point guard who is literally not mentally strong enough to shoot a ball in fear of having his efficiency not be LeBron-like.
a new coach should come in and make Ben Simmons shoot jumpshots (doesn't have to be threes) and just play more as LSU Simmons. A Power Forward (because he is a Power Forward and always was) and have perimeter shooters at Guard.
This guy is early Blake Griffin all over again.
"When you have experience & inherit 2 of the best players in the world - that's when!!" Man there are some deluded people posting here.
