Jack Jumpers Constructing Mock Rosters.

I think this looks like a reasonable roster and gettable roster for their debut, with 3 imports. Estimating this roster would hover around $1.5 million with Brandt and Canaan being highest paid players.

Would be cool to see them be competitive right out of the gates but who knows!

Starters:

PG: Isaiah Canaan (VTB)
SG: Jonah Antonio (Wake Forest)
SF: Devin Robinson (G-league)
PF: Ray Spalding (G-League)
CTR: Angus Brandt (CBA)

Bench Unit:

PG: Mirko Deric (Cairns)
SG: Daniel Grida (Hawks)
SF: Dexter Drew-Kernich (NBL1)
PF: Keanu Pinder (Adelaide)
CTR: Yuat Alok (South Utah)

What do we think?

Who are free agents at seasons end, might give you a better idea than some of those mentioned already. Grida isn't very good and is contracted for next season.

Never seen so much crap. No Tasmanians. This is why I get so annoyed with all this fantasy crap. How about Jacob Richards, Jack Stanwix, Gibbo of course. Greenwood is training with the Bullets so in time he may return. Plenty more Aussies available here and overseas. Please stop this fantasy shit because what ever you project here won't happen.

All the tas guys have signed elsewhere. Hadley is Tasmanian and the others are still early in college career.

The guys in the nbl were offered by Jack jumpers and decided to sign multi year deals elsewhere.

#559 relax mate ....it is useful to get some names out there.

Yep Stanwix has some huge upside athletic - great pedigree and smart, reckon Jacob Richards would need to do a fair bit of work to be in the frame for a NBL gigs. Tre and Taran Armstrong from the NW are legit. Greewood / Goulding would be useful.

Yep it will be good having some Tasmanian players that does need to be the only criteria...nothing wrong with hypotheticals

Chill pill for you #559.

Speculation on imports and NS is pointless, could be anyone.
As for locals how about starting with 2021 free agents list.
Dellavedova imo will come home but see him going to a Victorian club.
Nick Kay to Tasmania lmfao.

How will the salary cap from the restrictions this season all the way up to 1.5 mill? Surely won't jump like that.

I think the NBL should stick with 2 imports.
I also think next star players should be spread more so for example Brisbane, Melbourne, NZ , Perth and SEM get one for following season.
* yes Melbourne almost got Carter
* NZ and SEM had one last season.
After having Louzada for two years Sydney should miss out next year. Illawarra have two in a row Ball and Jessup so they should not get one next year.
Tasmania should be given first option on a next star player.

It's a long way to go, yes Moller and Gibson would be obvious choices but I’m not certain Smith is going to give good players away if you follow some of his tweets.

The topic is sensible albeit fantasy. I would like to see some sensible suggestiones rather than the stupid never going to happen suggestions. Now all we have is a slanging match and inappropriate language.

Delly and Nick Kay should absolutely be the two key Australian targets for Jays.

Having a Mitch Creek-type figure will be crucial in the first couple of years.

Even if they have to overpay one or both of those guys and run with two imports (and maybe a Next Star as well).

I see the CEO was again saying yesterday that they hope to have a coached locked in before xmas. Tick, tick, tick...

Greenwood may not be up to playing but would be a promoters dream. Tasmanian, leaves large AFL deal, was his late mothers dream for him to play NBL in Tas, provides a pathway back to college coaching role.

Hardly. If you knew the guy you would know its definitely possible. Everyone said he wouldn't cut it in the AFL remember.
