Probably looking for volunteers to go and play in Brisbane!
Or just waiting to know more about the situation there.

Perth announced on their website they will not play any games in Round 1.

NZ aren't scheduled for a game in Round 1 either, they could be likely candidate for Brisbane game.

NZ have hinted they are playing in Brisbane on Twitter, probably to be confirmed once the Brisbane lockdown is over assuming no more cases.

That's exactly why they should ease up on their crap hard border. They're so scared of lockdowns over there.

Put Perth on the road for a month and see if all settles down, Victorian hub start at end February as well, make it two months then, back end there home games.

The problem with going back to Perth is they will probably have to quarantine. Everyone other than NZ and SEM have been in QLD. Maybe a round 3-5 fixture for those 3 teams

The fact that we don't have the virus is the reason we should stop doing the thing that's prevented us from having the virus? In what universe does that make sense?

Let's go back home to Perth and not stay in Qld, said some idiot.
Because the smarter thing would've been to stay in the COVID hotspot away from their families, and not go home until April?

The problem with going back to Perth is they will probably have to quarantine. Everyone other than NZ and SEM have been in QLD.
The Wildcats were already scheduled to play the Breakers on the 24th, which can still go ahead. Teams can play in a state that will allow them to play, then move to Perth to play the week after. It's not complicated.

My understanding is if you play in QLD you have to quarantine for 14 days once you enter Perth (come from QLD) Even if you go via SA you'd still have to wait 14 days before entering WA (from when you left QLD). I doubt too many teams want 14 days between games. I’m sure if it’s possible NBL will schedule it

I don't believe so.

I mean, to take it to an extreme, what if you spend a month in SA? Clearly it'd be silly to require quarantine at that point.

The NBL is working on the plan of having Adelaide act as a mid-quarantine game, so teams can play there before moving on to Perth, per the West Australian.

That's sort of what I meant. Playing in Adelaide 7 days or whatever after leaving QLD and serve your 14 going through SA and maybe serve 1 or 3 etc in Perth upon arrival

Every game live on SBS on Demand no need to bother with NBL TV.

Sixers have 4 home games in the first 7 days of the season not great but can't be helped I guess.

I don't know what this means but it's probably the most insane piece of scheduling I've ever seen in the NBL. Understandable but insane none the less.

My bad, I was unclear. I was just saying that if a perth fan complained about getting four straight home games, people here would go to town accusing them of always whinging.

Hi Everyone,

I did a preview podcast for the NBL season if you're interested. It's called the Sporting Feast and goes through each team with predictions and fantasy player suggestions.
