What 6er would you most want back?

Watching Brisbane and all the ex 36ers, what ex player and even local that never suited would you want back. Creek and Sobey top choices naturally, will give slight edge to Creek for versatility and leadership, even though Sobey is on a tear atm. And not counting off court stuff like the demerit point debacle in leadership category.
Next tier are Majok, Drmic and Hodgson.
Finally Cadee, Newley and McDaniel. Can't think of anymore.
But you put that team back together, add a couple decent imports and would definitely think top 4 without doubt.
I think only local kfc would want Froling back! And HJs make most of their sponsorship money back per offseason. Went from promising rookie year to 3rd stringer real quick.

Greatest loss is Creek. Not just that we lost him but how we treated him after that as well.

Newley should be available next season.

Think Newley would retire rather than play for Adelaide.

Would current 6's beat 1988 Supercats?

No player would return to the 36ers and they will have even more trouble recruiting in the future. A lot of high potential young local prospects at college, COE coming through, Rigoni Mayern Griffin JDyer Rasmussen Manyang Olbrich Yaak etc. But they way they are treating Mudronja, the 36ers is the last club they would want to play for.
If you keep treating people like crap, it catches up with you eventually.

Majority of college players don't make it, I’m certain if you’re an Adelaide boy you would rather live at home playing in front of family and friends if you are good enough.

Nobody under 6'8" will "make it”, Giddey and Doncic have shut that door for good. Not that self proclaimed experts in high performance will ever tell you that, making too much money selling you snake oil and false hope.

Probably a joke that statement but I will offer some insight.

Depends on how you define "making it". If making it is making a few 100k- to a mill a yr travelling the world playing the sport you love then you are wrong....

Melo Trimble
Bryce Cotton
Nathan Sobey
Mitch Creek
Casper Ware
Dejan Vasiljevic

Are local examples that spring to mind.

In Europe.
Mike James
Wade Baldwin
Vsililjc Misic

NBA
Brad Beal
Steph Curry
Lillard
Kyrie
Trae Young

and on and on and on.

Many a dumb misguided statement on this forum I know but what you talking about LOL?

No doubt this game favours talls over shorts, in every position.

How many PGs + SGs in the NBA over say, 6' 8"?

How many Fs + Cs under that? (other than Tate!)

There are always exceptions which prove the rule, as they say! You have already highlight who some of those are. In NBL, not such an oddity as we obviously do not have millions of 6'8" + studs to choose from. (I love using the olde language when we're on about height in b/ball!).

947 Right now J Dyer is in the US living the dream playing college ball. And here you are posting anon questioning his ability and future prospects
He is probably having a good laugh at your expense.

Tate playing two, three in the nba. Some players from Australia in US college go on to have basketball careers but the high majority don't. It’s college then get a job.
