Cheers Zodiac .

I thought Humphries was contracted already.

The second year was a mutual option which either he or the team declined.

Seems a bit premature when teams have had hardly any time to re-sign their players.

Interesting one from Perth is that it would appear that Perth have not exercise their option on Wani. Showed a bit towards the end, but probably too little too late.
Is he ineligible to be a DP again? somewhere else?

Ummm, they have had all year to sign their own players!

I thought Levi Randolph signed a two year deal with the second year being a team option and the rumours are they're very interested.

Yep , all year not long enough to sign.
Some class there but lots more below average. Adelaide should target Cooks, certainly if Humphries leaves, Cooks to the four, dj the five. Hopson and McCarron as well would be a great start.
DJ, import.
Cooks, Pinder
Hopson, McVeigh Newley in 2 or 3
Import , Dech
McCarron, Short from United, got talent.
Some high budget and some middle to low.

United announcement:

To kick off the Free Agency period, we have successfully re-signed defensive dynamo and now two-time winning NBL Champion, Shea Ili, who has extended his tenure at the club for a further two seasons.

We have also signed local 19-year-old Zac Triplett to a long-term deal.
Triplett will start his tenure as a Development Player.

Anyone seen or heard anything about the Broekhoff contract with SEM?

The official NBL list has him recorded as Contracted for NBL22.

Why wasn't Ili on the list at the top?

It's hardly a scoop if it's published!

Because he's not a FA he's re-signed with United.

The Broekhoff one is interesting as they said at the time he signed with SEM that it was just for the rest of the season, either he signed a multi-year deal or has since re-signed with SEM. Either way he's under contract for next season.

Re: Ili; Got you - free agency is from tomorrow and he's re-signed before then.

Re: Broekhoff; Spatial Jam has him down for only this season.

Broekhoff initially signed as an injury replacement, so it couldn't have been a multi-year deal.

With Ili only being announced now, but showing as Contracted originally in the NBL22 Free Agents list.. seems that perhaps some contracts were done and submitted to NBL for re-signing of players and announcements just haven't been made yet?

If so, suggests Broekhoff has signed a new deal and the club hasn't officially announced yet. Perhaps related to the mental health withdrawal from national team duties with Rowdy wanting some time and space.

I think you're right RS, there's a disconnect between lodgement of deals to the league by clubs and the public announcements of them.

Apparently there's two new Tassie teams, the Tasmanian JackJumpers and the Tasmanian Jumping Jacks.... explains how every single player's going there

I think Broekhoff will hit form . If SEM get right imports they're well placed.

NZ Breakers have added 24yo Centre Sam Timmons as a DP for 21/22 and a club option on the following year.
Sam played 4years at the University of Washington before heading home to play in the NZNBL.

Anyone looking like a done deal for the Jackjumpers yet?...It looks like we are going to have to look overseas to fill a number of our spots,I'm really concerned for our first years roster.

It is early days, the signs are not that good though. A ceo who hasn't been in basketball for decade plus, a coach who hasn’t been around long enough to know the local scene, an assistant coach that no one knows. Good luck with all that.

One week in and talent is being snapped up.

Some decent names still on the list
Humphries ( Adelaide might re sign him)
Hodgson
H Froling
Dufelmeier ( Tassie?)
Landale ( Euro or stay United, he won't switch teams in NBL. )
Newley ( handy veteran)
