No surprise. Mitch wants to be home, will sign if the $$ is commensurate to other offers.

Sobey next to McCarron is an odd pairing, both off guards turned PG's, now one of them has to go back to being a 2-guard. Guess it gives a bit of flexibility.

McCarron is a far better point guard than Sobey, very good at either end. Sobey in two will even get better with McCarron at the one. New coach will want defence first and McCarron helps this a lot.
Kings letting Newley go as they prefer younger players, fair enough but they should have got rid Kickett last season who was past it, Newley still got lot to offer. In saying all that not certain the jumpers should be looking at him, he's not the age to build a squad around, jumpers might be desperate, could bring Kickett out retirement as well.

I believe McCarron is more capable at the 1 than Sobey, this could work to free Sobey up to be the dedicated 2.

He went to Brissy to work the 1, I don't think it has worked for the team even though he is putting up MVP numbers.

If Brissy have McCarron, Sobey, Import 3 that is not overweight, Law and Hodgson, this is a playoff team.

Patterson could be the 3rd import if his price goes down. Lamar's form has been down.

Brisbane has a chance making finals if the McCarron and Sobey at the Two can workout?

Not surprised as Sobey at PG was a weird Lemanis idea, he'll be even better back at his natural position.

Sobey didn't play PG this season that was his first season at the Bullets and it wasn't Lemanis' idea it was Sobey's idea, we all remember what happened in his last season at the Sixers when he insisted on playing PG.

This is good for McCarron though he's a complimentary player not a superstar and if he came to the Sixers he would've been expected to carry the team and been unable to do it. Sobey's the man on that team and he should compliment him nicely.

To state the obvious not a lot happening with free agency, the speculation re-signings will continue. Newley was great in his prime not sure if he would be a focus for the Jack Jumpers.

I would of course prefer McCarron come over to the Sixers as they have indicated an interest or put forward an offer.

McCarron / Duffelmeier
Dech / Import 2
Import 3 / McVeigh
DJ / Import 4 / 5
Humphries / Someone.

This is a playoffs team, may not beat United but United are changing and Perth may have regressed. So we are in with a chance.

Change coach as well please.

Only way Adelaide will make finals is if there's a top-6 and they have to get their imports right. Point guard who can make plays and score. Then a solid forward.

DJ has become a consistent scorer in the NBL, but his defence is what is letting him down. His age isn’t helping but DJ never stops.

Doe's anyone know if Adam Gibson is likely to sign with the Jackjumpers and who else the Jackjumpers are a possibility to pick up?

I think Perf do anything but regress next season. They're going to be a monster. Melbourne will do what they’ve always done when they can’t overspend on talent and rely on Goulding to be the number one option - fail.

Moller to germany, Kay to Japan.

"Jacks rumoured to be getting Kay, Norton and Moller."

If you want to post a rumour make sure there is at least one semblance of truth it it. Thanks.

Honestly speaking, what are the Jackoffs getting if they sign Gibbo? A glorified assistant coach? His playing days are dusted and too injury-prone to be of value in that regard. Good on him for squeezing every drop out of his fine playing careeer, but yeah mate time's up.

Adam Gibson would be a good pickup for the Jackjumpers for a couple of years.I think he still has a lot to offer and is Tasmanian so would be great for him to play for his home state.

Gibson was a very good player, his injuries now make him not worth it anymore.

Sign Gibbo for a couple of years? He should've retired a couple of years ago.

Short off-season might benefit Patterson. Less time to get fat and unfit. He might be worth a punt for next season!

McCarron is playing for Northside Wizards in NBL1 this season, gives him extra time to settle into a house in Brisbane in anticipation for the NBL season with the Bullets.

Bullets might get Casper Ware as well with the rumour Sydney won't re-sign him...maybe he has a good connection with James Duncan and will follow him to Brisbane?

Don McCarron is Coaching Director at Northside Wizards, that's likely his dad or relative. The signs keep pointing to him returning home to Brisbane if the dollars are right, like Ben said. Wikipedia says he went to Genesis Christian College in Brisbane, so majority of his family are likely there. Although if his partner’s family is mostly in Melbourne, he may stay there
