The commentator said; 'and, with that rebound Billings gets a double double'
But it was Aokuso. Billings was on the bench.
I like watching them play.
Sutton looks good.
TSV look very good.

Townsville waited too long to get Reid into the game yesterday, turned the whole thing around. She has underrated energy & impact.

M.Whittle, Adelaide looks pretty good - 17 points in 14 minutes. Subbed out, of course. A.Smith - just a player.

Blame Mitchell for Boomers who thinks BA is racist over banning braids. Not the fact that it is dangerous or makes her number harder to read for officials.

Too Bad BA went soft and removed it from the policy

Are you kidding?! That is RIDICULOUS and hilarious. She's a sook, I mean 2 weeks in a row she's rolled around on the floor with some traumatising injury only to come back on moments later, and her braids fiasco is complete crap. She's all about her looks, doesn't want to change her hairstyle so now it's rAcIsM. Pathetic.

These current Aussie opals coaches suck without money to spend.

Goriss playing Wilson, smart, sykes, Froling, Bunton lol. Could not score.
Chambers, no Cambage and can't buy a game plan.
Molloy playing s5 2games in a row bulk minutes.

Seebohm the clear front runner to takeover the opals. Has continually done alot with very little.

Couldn't agree more , and her Oscar winning performances when "injured" then the miraculous recovery ... and last night , up by 22 with 4 minutes to go and good old Molloy puts her back on court .
Then last 30 seconds he puts his bench on with Allen and she chooses to use 13 seconds of that to stand still and dribble the ball … could have at least given those youngsters one run though a play .

Statement regarding WNBL Integrity Breach

Basketball Australia today has issued bans to Paul Goriss Head Coach of the UC Capitals and Simon Cosier a WNBL referee.

Both Goriss and Cosier have been found guilty of engaging in Prohibited Conduct under Basketball Australia's National Framework for Ethical Behaviour and Integrity in Basketball by misusing inside information and engaging in conduct that would impair public confidence in the integrity and good character of basketball and its participants.

Cosier supplied Goriss with confidential video clips of the Sydney Uni Flames training scrimmage that had been used for referee education purposes.

Following an investigation by Basketball Australia’s Integrity Unit, the matter was referred to an Independent Hearing Panel for an expedited hearing. The Independent Hearing Panel have decided:

Cosier is banned from all refereeing activities for the WNBL season for his part in offering and supplying the footage to Goriss; and
Goriss is banned from all coaching activities including Opals duties until January 20, 2022 for using some of the clips for opposition scouting.
In issuing the sanctions, the Panel found that no actual advantage was obtained by Goriss or the UC Capitals.

Basketball Australia Chairman John Carey said "this incident was immediately referred to the Integrity Unit who undertook a full investigation and referred the matter to an Independent Hearing Panel. We will not tolerate this behaviour in basketball. It is unprofessional and extremely disappointing at any level of the game."

The bans are effective immediately, both parties have 14 days to appeal the decision.

I mean Canberra got the 3 best players in the age bracket. Melbourne, Swain, potter.
Don't forget Scanlon was also there last year.

That is bullshite...she has access to them 24/7 and has 2 years of relationships and given the kids who go to Canberra are the stars of the COE it is utter contempt to think she has nothing to do with it. What a load of crap

Exactly right, I can tell you now that the Canberra Capitals kids are picked off first and then it is a scramble for the others kids to find a team...It is no coincidence that Captials play COE in scrimmages all the time and it was well documented by Jade Melbourne that she formed relationships with Gorris and others during those scrimmages, clearly someone from BA on here trumpeting otherwise. BA is one of the most corrupt, sweep it under the carpet organisations that exists in sport and when you throw in the bullying from the Academy boys it is no wonder the 7.30 report is/was having a look at it.

Wnbl run by ba.

$350 fine for Barlow breaking up scuffle
$0 no ban for Cambage causing scuffle

Goriss cheats, remains n.t assistant. Banned from wnbl and n.t duties.
N.t duties ( opals camp for Feb games in Serbia ) don't begin until his ban has finished.
Wnbl coach again after just 3 weeks, kereama to fill in as hc.

Sandy finishes 1st cycle of 4 years with 60% / 40% win loss record, the worst in opals history. Gets the job again for 4 more years...

Sandys partner remains lead assistant.
Goriss remains ac, his brother remains sc coach
Assistants Chambers / Goriss only achieving a championship on the back of biggest spending club that year.
