Ah man, another link to the old NBL days gone. He was one of the first seriously big units in the NBL and I remember him holding his own for the Boomers against the all powerful Soviets around 1987. Kuiper and Dean Uthoff in the low block was like two big bull elephants going at it.

Was famous for his "dry" wedding and unfortunately was never a great fit in the Perth "Wall" alongside Crawford and Pinder who's court speed was incredible.

RIP big fella, a very, very funny bloke too.

I don't remember much about his playing, but I recall him having a great personality which was showcased on the basketball shows in the 90s. Seemed like an absolute character.
