Victorian structure

Can someone explain how the Victorian "league" structure works, compared to SA ideally.

Do they have "domestic/Social" competitions and then from there those interested or invited try out for what in SA would be considered District clubs or assuming what they call VJBL? And then does the VJBL teams play a grading season to determine who they play?

If that's correct can any club become a VJBL club or is there other requirements?

Does NSW work a similar system?

And does anyone know how the CJBL system works? Is that something similar, country associations choose teams to play in a country league? Is that like what SA has as country champs, difference being Vic played over a "season" while SA has a championship weekend?

Tried looking through the Basketball Vic website but not too helpful.

This is correct

Not every club can become a VJBL. My understanding is that you need to have a junior association under pinning it. Basically a home venue. You need to be able to supply refs as well.

Country vic is similar to VJBL, but country teams can also nominate for VJBL and go through the same grading process. The Country vic comp also has rules around who qualifies for country champs as some players will represent different VJBL teams than their country team.
