Potential Next Stars

Who is currently in discussions with Loeliger and Liam?

Zaccharie Risacher?
Jalen Bridges?
Izan Almansa?
Berke Buyuktuncel?

Seven teams with spots remaining (Perth, United and Hawks already have Next Stars)

Ron Holland just committed to Ignite. Bugger.

Any chance the NBL could sign 7'3 Spanish kid, Mara?

Kestleman and co said 5 NS locked in this year, possibly 2 more.

He also said they had 2 already locked in for 24/25

JJ's still looking at signing a Next Star, hope they end up with one - adds some intrigue.

I'm surprised by this as the breakers had indicated that they'd learnt guards weren't suited to the next star program. Mainly from the rj Hampton experience I think

Rubstavicius is not a guard. He's a wing. Exactly the same size and position as Rayan Rupert. Will slide between the 2 and 3 spots. Very good shooter with a high basketball IQ who has shown he can defend at the EuroCup level already for one of the best teams in that competition this season.

The Breakers needed better shooting out of the 3 position last year. Rupert was better than expected, but still not deadly. And while Abercrombie remains a great defender, his shooting is not what it used to be. If the Breakerd back the same three imports, then this is an upgrade because Rubstavicius will space the floor and bust some of the funky zones that slow down their offence.
