Ben Griscti signs three-year deal with the Adelaide 36ers

The Adelaide 36ers are bringing one of South Australia's top collegiate players home for NBL25 and beyond, signing center Bren Griscti to a three-year deal.

"This signing was really important for us, we see Ben as a big piece for the club moving forward," GM of Basketball Operations Matt Weston added.

"Ben is 211cm, is strong at both ends of the floor, but also has the ability to step out and knock down the three, which is what all teams require now from that position.”

Griscti now joins DJ Vasiljevic, Isaac Humphries, Jason Cadee, Nick Marshall, Sunday Dech, Alex Starling, Lat Mayen and Jacob Rigoni as contracted players for the NBL25 season.

Instead of a third import too.

This would've been an alright signing as the 8th and final local player if we hadn't just upgraded Rigoni to the roster and left him as a NRP. Unfortunately he's local #9 meaning we can only sign two imports now.

We've effectively replaced McCarron, Galloway and Tohi with Mayen, Rigoni and Griscti. Just need to sign the replacements for Kell and Wiley now to the last two spots.

Looking like the no-playoffs streak is going to extend to a 7th season.

i mean djv and isaac would be marquees so they probably were handcuffed for two imports anyway

Where has Motum gone since his season in Japan finished, is he available. MVP in b-2 league gf, could be very useful, though team defensively isn't looking great.

Ben will only shoot 3s anyway , strength won't matter
Last college season 113/188 shots were triples

So we have , Rigoni , Mayen and Griscti , so far 3 Sturt juniors , if Rasmussen resigns it will be 4

Slowly getting back to the sturty6ers

Weston addressed the Motum option.

Motum has a year left on his contract and out of 36ers price range/would have taken away an import spot.

" Ben would be like sam waardernburg" with the exception that Waardenburg played at Miami and is a stud, who can also put the ball on the floor. Adelaide are left with no back up true bigs that could play minutes as a result.

No matter which way this is framed, the depth chart doesn't like it.
