NBL CPI Crisis

(Current Player Income)

I think with the introduction of 3 new teams in 2 years the NBL has created a player drought and inflationary Player costs(only a guess @ $).

What 3 new teams mean
_____________________________

3 new Franchise level player poistions at $170,000 plus
6 new Import positions at $120,000 plus.
6 new Starting positions at $80,000 plus .
15 Bench postions at $30,000 plus.
6-9 Coaching postions.

All in all the reserve bank would react to this rise in CPI with a bit of an interest rise.

The above represents 3x $810,000 = $2,430,000 additional to players/managers. Big payrise realy in 2 years more like politicians?

Whats every ones else s thoughts on this?

There would be quite a few starters on less than 80k. That said, there would be a shiteload of players coming off the bench for 45-55k

I would've said the opposite - very few starters doing less than $80k, and benchies on strong teams would be on more than $50k. I reckon Cairns would have two benchies on $80-120k.

Boodnikoff might be $100k+. Grabau could be $60-90k - will only raise as he starts to get more interest in a bigger league.
