I was just speaking with someonein the media and I think you will find SVD is in fact correct. He was going to do it at season's end but due to it being his testimonial this weekend, as long with possibly the Crows last game next weekend, he figures this is the best time to do it.

Just heard it on MMM. A press conference is to be held in a couple of hours. He won't play this weekend, but hopes to have a farewell game against Brisbane in Round 21.

Whether it will happen today I'm not sure, I think it may well have already happened...a lot of talk on footy forums that it is official. Wouldn't surprise me at all, has had a terrible run with injuries.
