ABL Prelim Finals

Just received an email to say that both Prelim finals are to be played this Saturday at 7.30pm.

Since Norwood are in both, hosting the Men's and at Hillcrest for the Women, will this reduce their likely number of spectators at MARS.

I know it is up to the hosting club to decide the game time, so would/should Norwood have considered this at all, before deciding on the time for their game at MARS?

Does it make any difference. The South Men seem to believe the huge support they had on Saturday night, really helped them get over the line, especially in the last quarter.

I think its ridiculous having them both at the same time. So now Flames supporters have to choose to watch the men or the women.

Why dont they just keep the times the same as every other week, then people can go from the womens game to the mens game.

Not sure?

Doesn't BSA decide the times? I doubt Norwood would've asked for their games to be at the same time.

The hosting team gets to decide, if there is only one game, so if North Women chose to play at 7.30pm at Hillcrest, there is nothing that Norwood could do, so that their games didn't clash in some way.

I don't think anybody would want an ABL Prelim final starting at 5.30pm or 9.30pm, which is the only way that Norwood could have avoided a clash with the Women's game.

Maybe Norwood could ask North to play the Women's game earlier. I am sure after the good spirit the men's Qualifying final was played in last week, that wouldn't be a problem!

Its annoying because both teams support the each other but Norwood Men and Women have a good following. The womens team had a fair crowd at Morphett vale the other week when the men were playing at hilcrest. I'm sure the teams will be alright and get a win.

It's not gonna matter. Even if Norwood got all of their supporters there they will be no match for the South Army!
